During my Levant tour from January 19-25, I had a perfect trip, a wonderful journey from beginning to end, in every detail. I wish everyone could experience such an unforgettable journey. The route, starting from Amman, Jordan, encompassed all the historical, religious, and cultural treasures of Amman, as well as extending to the shores of the Dead Sea and the instructive memories of the past. Wadi Rum and Petra made me realize that the world has completely different facets. Damascus, which I had been wondering when and how I would see, was our next stop after Amman. After a very comfortable journey, we arrived in Damascus, where the Bab al-Saghir cemetery, the Umayyad Mosque, the tombs of great figures each offering a unique thrill, the Hamidiye Bazaar, the Damascus station of the Hejaz Railway, Marj Marj Square, and many more treasures awaited us. After a day in Damascus surrounded by the local flavors and friendly people, we entered Lebanon and traveled to Baalbek, one of the wonders of the world. Of course, being a guest of the Turkmen family in Lebanon and chatting with them was a unique pleasure. After Baalbek, we explored Byblos, one of the oldest settlements, and the beautiful city of Beirut, which embodies both sadness and hope. Throughout the journey, our guide, Mr. Yasir, accompanied us with his mastery of the geography, sharing invaluable information that could summarize dozens of books. In this trip, where every minute was spent learning, discovering, and experiencing, the tea conversations by the campfire, the cheerful jokes, and the friendships we formed were unforgettable. You can travel with STM with complete peace of mind.
